19th July 2006...

Wed Jul 19, 2006, 4:48 AM
I've been a bit quiet on the old DA lately... after a couple of months' deviating the novelty seemed to wear off, and I went back to being the recluse I've always been, hiding away from revealing my work to the world, and drinking myself silly. However I'm back now, and intend to take this site much more seriously. It's about time I showed people a few more of my poems, and there's nowhere better to do so than here. It also offers a good focus, which may help to increase my creative output, and protect me from the lure of decadence!

I've added a couple more deviations, one taken from my last book, 'Epiphany', and another from 'The Rebel Artist', which should be coming out in two or three months. I'll renounce my usual modesty (ahem) and tell anybody out there who's interested that this new book is better than anything I thought I could ever write. It's really rather good.

Anyway, enough of this self-indulgence, there are prose-poems to be written!

I really like your poetry. I have never thought of writing prose-like poetry.
It is nice to meet a new Shrewsbury-poet. The place is so pretty sometimes and is only a bus ride form so many other beautiful places (Wrekin, Ironbridge etc).
Hope your book is going well. I believe I have seen it on a shelf ina shop somewhere. Shall pick it up next time I pass it :D
